It is generally prescribed in mild to moderate atopic dermatitis (eczema), seborrheic dermatitis, and contact dermatitis. Atopic dermatitis is a condition in which the skin becomes red and itchy. Seborrheic dermatitis is a skin condition which causes itchy rash with flaky scales. Contact dermatitis is a condition in which the skin becomes red and inflamed after it comes in contact with any allergens (substance which causes allergy or irritation). Desowen Lotion 30 ml works by getting absorbed into the skin cells and then stop these cells from producing certain chemicals that cause inflammation. These chemicals are normally released when the skin reacts to any type of allergens (allergy causing foreign elements). Desowen Lotion 30 ml is for external use only. Take a pea-sized amount onto your finger and apply it directly onto the affected area and gently massage it in. If Desowen Lotion 30 ml comes in contact with eyes, nose or mouth, rinse with water immediately. In-Depth Precautions and Warning Drug Warnings Hormonal changes may be reported if Desowen Lotion 30 ml is used regularly and at very high doses. It can alter your adrenal glands (glands that make hormones located above kidneys) and can cause Cushing’s syndrome. Drug Interactions DRUG-DRUG INTERACTIONS: Desowen Lotion 30 ml may interact with antidiabetic pills (metformin), skin disease creams (hydrocortisone), and immune system affecting medicine (cyclosporine).
